3 Reasons to Consider Dental Financing

Seeing a dentist on a regular basis is essential for maintaining healthy teeth and gums.

But do you think you can’t afford to go to the dentist?  You shouldn’t let fear and “what ifs” keep you away.  Avoiding the dental chair all together will ultimately cost you more in the end.  It’s easier on you, and your wallet, if you get checkups and cleanings twice a year.  When treatment is recommended to you by our professionals, you should get it done as soon you possible to keep the problem from getting worse (and to avoid potential pain and suffering).

Easy Payment Options for Dental Treatments

At Summit Dental Center, we hear you.  We understand that dental care isn’t always cheap, and that you need a provider who has affordable payment options available for you. At the same time, we’re passionate about providing top-notch dental care. And we believe the size of your bank account, or your insurance status, shouldn’t affect the type of treatment you receive.

Investing in your oral health is important for your well-being. We have multiple financing options available, which will allow you more time to focus on yourself, rather than stressing over costs.

In addition to financial considerations, some other reasons patients choose to get dental financing are:

Going Without Dental Insurance

Many people can’t get dental insurance through their employer, or anywhere else.  Even so, the benefits from having coverage sometimes aren’t all that great.  Most plans will only pay between $1,000 to $2,000 a year toward treatment, and even then only certain procedures are covered.  If any part of the allowable amount goes unused, the benefits get lost and don’t roll over to the following calendar year.

Before getting a dental insurance plan, you should look into the details.  Calculate how much the premium will cost you, compared to the annual maximum allowance. Also, keep in mind that when dental insurance companies say that you can get “free” cleanings and x-rays, this isn’t necessarily true.  The amount that the policy pays toward these services is likely deducted from the yearly maximum allowable.

Most insurance companies only pay 100% of a regular cleaning (prophylaxis) and not for the treatment of gingivitis or gum disease (root planing and scaling).  In this case it pays about 50% to 80% of the cost, leaving you to cover the rest.

If you’ve gone years without having a professional cleaning, or have poor oral healthcare habits, it’s likely that you won’t qualify for a regular preventative cleaning.

Some patients find it’s easier to pay up front for checkups and cleanings to begin with.  Then, if treatment is needed, it’s best to get dental financing through one of our convenient options.

You Need Extensive Treatment on Multiple Teeth…FAST.

Time can really get away from us sometimes. We get it.  You’re busy at work.   You moved away from home and haven’t found a new Houston dentist yet.  Maybe you had to neglect your own teeth so that you could get your kids through braces.

Before you’ve realized it, you’ve gone years without seeing the dentist yourself.  Maybe you’ve known you had issues going on but chose to ignore them.

Do you have loose fillings, or broken teeth?  Maybe a crown came off and you lost it.  Since nothing hurt, you hoped for the best, and went on with your life. One day you decide it’s time to address the issues that you’ve noticed in your mouth. So, you visit the dentist for a thorough check-up.  You’re given the news that the problems areas you pointed out aren’t the only things that need attention.  X-rays show decay between your teeth and abscesses that you, nor your dentist, can detect by simply looking in your mouth.

All of a sudden (but no, not really), you have multiple teeth that need extensive treatment.

With the average cost of a root canal and dental crown being around $2,000 per tooth without insurance, the cost can pile up fast.

At Summit Dental Center, we understand that this can be hard to hear.  Try not to feel overwhelmed.  With affordable dental financing, you won’t have to pick and choose which teeth to work on and which ones you’re willing to lose.  With dental financing, there’s a good chance you can save them all!

Let us handle all the restorative work, and all you have to do is make affordable monthly payments.

Cosmetic Dentistry

A big, beautiful smile makes a lasting impression.  It not only makes others feel good to receive a smile, but it’s just as important for you to feel confident giving one.

If the appearance of your teeth is affecting your self-esteem and keeping you from fully enjoying your life, you owe it to yourself to consider cosmetic dentistry.

One of the most common types of cosmetic dental work we offer is veneers. A veneer is a custom porcelain shell that is permanently bonded to the front of your tooth.  You may want to consider veneers or other aesthetic treatments if your teeth are:

  • Crooked
  • Misshapen
  • Chipped
  • Permanently stained or discolored
  • Gapped

Depending on how many teeth are involved and the type of cosmetic dentistry you’re looking for, a smile makeover can be customized to fit your budget and dental financing preferences.  It’s affordable and convenient when you take advantage of the variety of finance options Summit Dental Center offers.

Through our in-house payment plans, you can get instantly approved without the need for a credit check.  Outsourced financing is available through trusted lenders who offer affordable, interest free payments up to 60 months.

Don’t wait any longer, give us a call today!  Our dental financing specialist will be glad to find the best plan to fit your budget.
